Mint Hill's Scottish pride and heritage continues today in the names of Mint Hill residents and with the Mint Hill Scottish Festival and Highland Games held each spring. The festival features Scottish music, dancers, food and representatives of Scotland's clans. The festival draws approximately 3000 attendees each year.

Mint Hill Madness is a three day event, held the last week-end of September, drawing tens of thousands to Mint Hill. Festival highlights include a Saturday morning parade, rides, fireworks, arts and crafts and many food vendors.

The Mint Hill Farmers Market operates from 8:00 am until noon every Saturday, May through September, in the Carl J. McEwen Historic Village (at the Mint Hill Historical Society).
